A kitchen display that keeps every ticket moving

Orders from the counter, your website, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram land on one live kitchen screen. Cooks bump tickets as they go, and the front of house sees every change instantly.

The basics

What is a kitchen display system (KDS)?

A kitchen display system replaces paper tickets with a live screen in the kitchen. Orders from the POS and online channels appear the moment they are confirmed, cooks mark them as they progress, and the front of house sees when food is ready.

Zestia KDS runs on a Windows PC or Android tablet and shows every order — counter, website, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and phone — in one queue, with item-level status, overdue alerts and prep-time analytics.

Kitchen Display System at a glance

  • Runs on Windows PCs and Android tablets in the kitchen
  • Live updates over WebSocket, with automatic fallback if the link drops
  • Mark single items ready — the order advances by itself
  • Alerts for tickets past a 10-minute target and waiting deliveries
  • Prep-time analytics by hour, plus fastest and slowest orders

One queue

Every channel on one screen

Tickets arrive the moment an order is confirmed, oldest first, showing the order type, table, items, variants, modifiers and notes. Dine-in, takeaway and delivery are colour-tagged so the pass knows what goes where.

  • Orders from POS, storefront, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and phone
  • Variants, modifiers and special instructions on every item
  • Order type and table shown on each ticket
  • Sound alert for new orders, with a mute toggle
  • Online/offline and live-connection indicator in the top bar

Flow control

Bump, recall, serve

Tickets move from confirmed to preparing to ready to served. Mark individual items ready and the whole order advances when everything is done. Bumped too early? Recall it back to the line.

  • One tap moves an order to its next stage
  • Item-level status for orders cooked at different speeds
  • “Ready to serve” rail so runners never miss a plate
  • Recall a ready or completed order back to preparing
  • Every bump and recall written to the audit log

Kitchen performance

Know where the minutes go

A performance view shows active tickets, average prep time and orders done today, with an hour-by-hour breakdown, the peak hour and the fastest and slowest recent orders.

  • Average prep time for today, live
  • Hourly order volume and prep time in your local time zone
  • Peak hour, fastest and slowest orders highlighted
  • Full Kitchen Performance report in the dashboard
